A group,  Yewa Awori Patriotic Movement (YAPMO), has appealed to Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, to rehabilitate roads begging for attention in the Ogun West Senatorial district of the state.

Besides, the group has commended the governor for canvassing open support for the quest of the region to produce the governor come 2019.

The group made the appeal in a communiqué signed by its General Secretary, Sulaiman Atinsola, on Wednesday, after the its quarterly meeting in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of the state.

YAPMO listed bad roads in the region to include Ayetoro/Igan-Okoto/Imasayi, Ilaro/Owode, Igan-Okoto\Igbogila, Lusada/Ado\Igbesa, Agbara-Atan\Ota and Sango-Alagbole road.

According to the communique, the condition of the roads have always been a source of concern to the indigenes of the is area as well as eyesores to visitors to the Ogun West zone.

“The state of these roads are not only an eye sore, it is killing and has almost strangulate the economic and social lives of the people of the areas. Agricultural and industrial activities in the areas have remained all-time low on account of this infrastructural deficiency,” the communique reads in part.

YAPMO, therefore, urged political functionaries to rally round the governor to advise him on how to actualise his dream to ensure equality in the conception, execution and completion of projects

Meanwhile, the group has described as virile, the multiplicity of candidates jostling for the governorship seat from the Ogun West, just as they warned aspirants against playing the spoiler role, which had been the bane of the area in the annals of governorship struggles in the past.
