Ahmad Gumi, an Islamic cleric, says he was not referring to the present-day Nigerian army when he suggested that troops are allegedly deployed along religious lines.

Gumi was quoted to have said non-Muslim soldiers carried out orchestrated killings of bandits. The cleric had also said that such killings spurred bandits to launch attacks.

Reacting to the cleric on Monday, the army said it does not deploy troops along ethnic or religious lines, while accusing the cleric of deliberately wanting to “disparage the Nigerian army to portray it in bad light.”

Clarifying his comment in an interview with BBC News Pidgin, Gumi said:“I saw what the army said. What I will say is that there is a misunderstanding in the issues. When I speak about the religious issue in the army, I’m not referring to today’s army. The issue is from 2010-2015 when some people who were in charge of the army and when a lot of bad things happened.

“It was during that time, bombings happened everywhere. It happened in Jaji and we lost a popular Muslim general and it was God that saved me because they planted a bomb on me.”

This round about turn by Sheikh Ahmed Gumi about his allegation of
Christian Soldiers killing of muslim bandits is simply a mere face – saving
    gimmicks.
Of course, the muslims are given to disesmbling whenever they are
confronted with us, their so called Infidels(non-believers).
Come to think about,it is on record that under President Goodluck Azikiwe
Ebele Jonathan, there were virtually no banditries, mass kidnapping et al, neither in the North nor in the South like it is the case today.
The only case of mass kidnapping during President Jonathan’s Presidency
was that of Chibok Christian School Girls, which was directly orchestrated
and directed against President Jonathan’s PDP Admninstration by the
Northern Leaders, who were hell- bet on making the country ungovernable
    for him.
They claimed that President Jonathan stole their Northern Presidential
slot after the demise of President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
The current epidemic of daily banditries and mass kidnappings all over
the North started when Mallam Muhammadu Buhari took over the
Presidency in 2015 and cladestinely started his granting of blanket
amnesties to his purported repentant Hoko Haram Jihadist members.
He even went out his way to exacerbate the stituation with his dual
policies on Visa – on-arrival and Visa – free-entry into Nigeria for all
    Africans.
Thus, the President in his bid to Fulanize and and Islamize our Kwa/Bantu
fatherland intentionally opened some flood gates for the influx of the
alien Nilotic Troglodytes, the so called Bororos, Falatas, Fulas,Fulanis and
Fulbes, from far away countries like Burkina Faso,CAR, Cameroon, Darfur, Gambia, Guinea,Mali, Niger,Senegal, Somalia,Sudan et al, into the country
in order to flummox us native Kwa/Bantu Nigerians.
However, the claims by both the Sarduana of Sokoto,Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad
Abubkar and the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir Ahmad el- Rufai
that the bandits and kidnappers are solely foreign Fulanis is blantantly a specious fallacy and indeed a ” taqiyya”.
The Buhari’s purported deradicalized repentant Jihadist Boko Haram
member and the disbanded Almajiris are among the bandits and kidnappers.
By the way, when is the Caliph of Sokoto,Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar
gonna isue his fucking Fatwah against the Jihadist Killer Squads;the Boko
Haram, ISWAP, MACBAN Sheikhs and their Fulani Herdsmen ?
That is but quite over due.
The Caliph of Sokoto must stop now the ongoing washing of our earth,
mountains, rivers and streams with the innocent blood of native Nigerians,
which was started by his great grand father ,Imam Uthman Dan Fodio some hundred years ago.
    Enough is enough ojare.
    Nigeria We Hail Thee.Lol!
No to the status quo ante bellum!!
    Down with Hausa/Fulani Islamic Hegemony!!!
