The House of Representatives  has summoned the Minister of Finance,  Kemi  Adeosun, former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), Farida Waziri, and former Chairman of SURE-P,  Lt Gen Martins Agwai,(retd), amongst others over an alleged N1trilion failed rail contracts.
They are expected to appear before the Ad-hoc Committee probing failed  rail contracts between 2010-2014 tomorrow.
Others expected to appear before the Ad-hoc committee chaired by Hon.  Ehiozuwa Agbonyinma are contractors who handled rail contracts in the period under review.
Although Adeosun was not part of the previous government, it was gathered she was invited so as to explain how funds were released for the contracts.
Farida is expected to explain why the EFCC under her leadership failed to act when the alleged scam was brought to the knowledge of the commission.
“The contractors are expected to show proof of what they have done so far with concrete evidence to the committee.
“As for the Minister of Finance, as you are aware, government is a continuum and she must tell us how the funds were released,” a source said.
