National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), John Udeagbala, has again called on the Federal Government, to urgently rehabilitate the nation’s refineries and remove subsidy payment on petroleum products, to stem the massive corruption in the sector.He also expressed sadness on what he described, as endemic insecurity and poor infrastructure in Nigeria’s business environment.

   The NACCIMA boss was speaking at the weekend, at the opening of an ultra modern, world class show room built by an indigenous private company, Right Choice Electronics, in Aba, Abia State. He said the petroleum products subsidy regime, had caused Nigeria so much pain, as it was riddled with corruption and urged the government to urgently think and act towards rehabilitating the ailing refineries and remove the payment of subsidies.

“Government should act fast in reviving the ailing refineries and remove subsidy payment on petroleum products to stem the massive corruption going on in the sector, as it has caused the country, much pain.”

   Udeagbala, further said that “the endemic insecurity and poor infrastructure in Nigeria’s business environment, was hurting private sector establishments more than was being acknowledged.

He advised Nigerians to obtain their permanent voters cards (PVCs), to give them the enablement to determine what they want in government and avoid the blame game after elections.

He also commended the sponsors of the new showroom facility, for their resilience and tenacity in growing the company to world standard and urged them not to relent.
