From Paul Orude, Bauchi

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed gratitude for the decision of five People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governors popularly known as PRP G-Five to realize his reelection.

Mohammed made the disclosure on Wednesday when his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, stormed Bauchi on Wednesday in solidarity with him.

Wike led his colleagues Samuel Ortom of Benue, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia and Ifeanyi Ugueanyi of Enugu to visit Mohammed and met behind closed doors.

Mohammed described them as men of calibre who are reliable and have the interest of the PDP.

“l am supposed to be with them but they excommunicated me for some reasons best known to them but l am highly .connected to them, each and every one of them,” Mohammed said.

“There is no day l don’t speak with them. In politics, you go with the people. you share things in common. The presidency has brought us closer but one thing l appreciate about them is that they look at your challenges even though they are not going for a second term, all of them, but they are always worried.

“Their own principle might be alight different from mine but certainly.l bear and feel their pains as much as they feel. my now pain. We share so much in common. They know I have challenges of anti-party in Bauchi, challenges of undercutting, treachery and mischief.

“Of course, politics is all about all these and when you know you have people behind you of this calibre, of that stature, you feel secure because there is hardly anything we can do that we have not done before… I am happy they are here and I will have the opportunity of confiding in people l know l can confine in.”

In his remark, Wike said they were in Bauchi to show their solidarity and pledged their support to the governor.

“The Governor of Oyo State travelled to the United States on Monday night. He would have been with us but travelled after the campaign in Benue.

“We came here to solidarise with our friend the governor of Bauchi State. We know he is running for election for a second time. This period is when we identified with our friends. What we are doing.is nothing more than to fraternise with him and find out how things are with him.

“Are there areas we can discuss, we should help in times of advice, because he is key to us and what affects him affects him? That is why we came nothing more than that to know how he is doing, how he is planning by the grace of God I know he has done well in Baucbi and the people wlll vote for him for a second term.”
