From David Onwuchekwa, Nnewi

Despite the ever growing number of supporters for the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi within and outside Nigeria for 2023 election, Prophet Iyke Uzukwu has said that Obi will not become the President.

Prophet Uzukwu, speaking yesterday as the Spiritual Director of Soul Revival Ministry in Nnewi, Anambra State said that Mr Obi had the capacity to turn around the nation’s economy and had the potential to be a wonderful President but he would not be allowed.

He said irrespective of millions of “Obi-dients” milling around the LP candidate that power brokers in Nigeria would not allow Obi as an Igboman to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari. He described as unfortunate the situation as revealed to him in the spiritual realm.

According to Uzukwu, if anybody wanted to know why an Igboman would find it difficult to become a Nigerian President, that former President Olusegun Obasanjo would provide the answer.

He said that former President Obasanjo’s support to Obi could be to break the jinx to see whether an Igboman could become the President of Nigeria this time.

He advised Ohaneze Ndigbo to step with caution in their utterances and never to look down on any candidate since they did not know for sure who would eventually become the next President of Nigeria at the end of the day.

“For now, based on the way it has been revealed to me, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presudential candidate, Atiku Abubakar is the only one very close to Aso Rock. He can move Nigeria forward, no doubt. But the revelation might change tomorrow.

“I would have loved Atiku and Obi to be running together in this 2023 presidential election, to activate any portion of the electoral law to that effect. The two are compatible. But it’s unfortunate that the two are contesting separately, on different party platforms. Atiku would be the best thing that could happen to this country.

“I still plead with Obi and Atiku to see the way they can work together, ” he said.

Uzukwu noted that since Atiku is a brother-in-law to the Igbo, he would not likely hurt the Igbo in his administration.

He added that in case candidates decided to do a step down, that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu should step down for Atiku who could the same way step down for Obi to create an opportunity for an Igboman.

He further said: “There are people who don’t want an Igboman to be there. Obi is a very nice candidate but it’s unfortunate they won’t allow him.

“Atiku, however, is the only Fulani man the Igbo should trust. I vouch for him because he will deliver and he can hand over to an Igboman. Nobody should stone me, please, it’s just my opinion!”

The Prophet advised Governor Nelson Wike of the Rivers State to calm down and work for the victory of his party, adding that after victory, every other thing would fall in place.
