Laide Raheem, Abeokuta
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Oladipupo Adebutu, has called on the residents of the state to vote out the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), if they want to enjoy real dividends of democracy.
Adebutu noted that the state under the ruling party has been battling with a shortage of potable water supply and other basic amenities, insisting unless APC is voted out of power, goodies of democracy would continue to elude the people of Ogun.
Adebutu stated this while handing over two water borehole projects donated to Omida-Isaga and Igbehin communities, undertaken by the PDP’s House of Representatives candidate in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Toyin Amuzu, on Tuesday.
According to the governorship candidate, the issue of lack of basic amenities would soon be a thing of the past in the state, if the residents stand up and elect responsible and credible candidates of the PDP to run the affairs of the state in 2023.
Adebutu commended the donor of the water boreholes, noting that he was not surprised at the many feats Amuzu in Abeokuta South as he has always been a selfless and responsible individual whose passion for a better society is worthy of emulation.
“Toyin Amuzu has single-handedly commissioned about ten water borehole projects from his personal purse to ease the pains of water shortage in communities. If such a man is given a political position, it is very sure that the people would be his priority.
“Amuzu is a reliable and selfless individual who has proved himself worthy of a public office”, Adebutu stated.
In their respective remarks, the  Balogun of Egbaland, Sikirulai Atobatele, the Director General of Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organization, Semiu Sodipo and the senatorial candidate of the PDP in Ogun Central, Olumide Aderinokun, thanked Amuzu, noting that the PDP is known for making life better for the people.
They equally urged the people to reciprocate the good deeds of the donor of the water project by electing him and other PDP candidates, in order for them to continue touching lives and improving the communities with the people-oriented programmes of the party
In his remarks, Amuzu said that more life-changing projects would dot the landscape of Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, if he is elected as a member of the House of Representatives in 2023.
