Road users, residents and site workers have hailed Governor Udom Emmanuel on the intervention at the erosion site along the Ntak Inyang portion of Calabar-Itu Highway.

This follows the completion of work on the first phase of the project leading to the opening of one lane of the road to traffic and road users.

The commendation was made during an inspection visit to the project site by the Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, earlier today.

Fielding questions from the State Information Boss, a site worker narrated the ordeal of road users before the intervention by the government stating that people had hitherto suffered from untold hardship and pains at that site.

According to him, the then erosion-ravaged portion of the road had exposed transporters and other road users to untold hardship and commended the Udom Emmanuel administration for harkening to the yearnings of the masses by the timely intervention which he noted is a big sigh of relief.

Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong said such feedback from the masses is critical for the effective tracking of governance .

Comrade Ememobong reiterated that the people’s interest occupies a prominent position in the Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

He said on-the-spot assessment of on-going projects will be regular by various officials of Government, and sued for continuous support from the people.
