Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has revealed that he will announce the country’s provisional roster for the Africa Cup of Nations as from April 2019.
The German noted that there’s only one window for international matches prior to next year’s AFCON and has stressed the need to start preparations immediately.
“We only have one FIFA window in March and I have to give my list in April/May. First list in May, thirty-five (players) and then the final twenty-three,” Rohr said.
“So, I want to see the players who I didn’t see so much. They have the opportunity to start this preparation and the match tomorrow is the first preparation match for the AFCON.”
The AFCON will hold in Cameroon from 15 June to 13 July 2019, with 24 countries participating.
