The Rotary Club of Isolo Golden, as part of its humanitarian services has donated learning materials worth thousands of Naira and a wheelchair to some schools in Lagos State. The schools are Idimu Junior High School, Idimu and Baptist Model High School, Isolo.The District

Governor, Mr. Kola Sodipo, who was represented by the District Secretary, Mr. Kolawole Ojelabi said polio survivors normally suffered neglect and parental care as a result of their condition and they do not want the victim, Raji Kamorudeen to pass through such an experience or rejection, thus the club decided to donate the wheelchair to him, so he could live above challenges.

Ojelabi said the club was motivated to donate to the schools because it discovered that the condition the pupils were learning needed to be upgraded, so they decided to empower the schools with learning materials in order to improve the quality of life for the less privileged.
The President of the club, Mr. Oladimeji Olagunju said that they are committed to supporting and improving access to quality education. He said they accepted the challenge and trust placed on them as a club to serve and execute projects that would impact on humanity.

Olagunju said through the club signature project, they have adopted a school initiative, that they would be committed to providing a holistic and integrated approach to basic education which includes creating better learning environments, leveraging resources through partnerships, utilising best practices and cross-cutting solutions to improve the overall learning achievements of pupils in the adopted schools.
According to him, the club believes that education is the greatest investment to secure sustainable development in the country, adding ‘’you will agree that the education sector in Nigeria is in dire need of intervention at all levels, we cannot fold our hands and leave the government alone to fix it.
