Spain based keeper, Francis Uzoho has declared that Nigerians don’t need to lose sleep over Super Eagles post ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Uzoho who made his Eagles debut in the friendly against Argentina last month said he is ready to man the post for Nigeria in Russia and man it well.
The 18 year old deportivo La Corunna keeper told Goal yesterday that if given the opportunity, he would not disappoint Nigerian soccer fans.
In his words:”If the coaches have confidence in me, and given the chance to play, I will play and I will do my best in Russia.”
Uzoho stressed that Nigeria has a strong team that can surprise the world in Russia, insisting that winning the World Cup is not a mission impossible.
“I think Nigeria can go very far because we have a very good team. The best I have seen in a while now from the Nigerian national team…Of course, an African team can win the World Cup…Maybe Nigeria will make that dream come true for Africa.”
Uzoho who represented Nigeria at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup as a backup for Dele Alampasu is one of the most promising graduates to come out of the famed Aspire Academy.
