Leadership might come naturally, but it isn’t always a given. Leadership can be learned through leadership development programs, which use rigorous study and practice to generate, develop, and strengthen leadership skills. These abilities can assist in demonstrating the importance of leadership.
It was joy and happiness all over as the Founder of Secure-D- Future International Initiative, Dr. Sa’aduta Adamu was on Saturday conferred a Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in Management and Leadership by the American Management University, California, USA. at the just conclude peace achievers International award and summit held in Abuja. The American Management University presented a few Doctorate Certificates to some well-meaning and notable individuals in Nigeria, through the Peace Ambassador Agency, the Organiser of the Peace Achievers International Award and Summit.
Dr. Sa’adatu Adamu appreciated the governing council of the varsity — American Management University — for the honour. Some of her citations on the day were:
“Many people’s problem is their ignorance. Read informative, educative, and life-transforming books, I promise you your life will be transformed and you will experience positive change,”
“You need a mentor. Note that the greatest footballer of all time has a coach. No great athlete that we know today succeeds by themselves. They all have a coach who coached them to greatness. The same applies in business and life.’’
“Third, dreams don’t work unless you do. The way you know a driver is that he drives, a speaker speaks, and a businessman does business. So don’t just dream, work, roll up your sleeves and soil your hands, to make it happen,”
“You don’t keep doing what you were doing before and expect different results. The level of results, wealth, and the impact you desire will be a result of the level of problems you solve,”
Speaking further, she said, “Increase the quality or quantity of problems you solve and automatically you increase your results. Don’t be afraid to take baby steps daily toward achieving your goals. Remember you were once a baby. Think big, start small, and grow massive.”
Dr. Sa’adatu Adamu is a mental health counsellor working with victims of human trafficking, rape, and substance and emotional abuse. She is a graduate of industrial design and motion pictures from the National Film Institute, an affiliate of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. She obtained a PGDE and MSC in EDU Guidance and Counselling from Nasarawa State University Nigeria, and a Certificate in human resources management from Unicaf University, Larnaca Cyprus.
Dr. Sa’adatu Adamu has a unique combination of high-tech training and expertise in counselling skills, project development, strategic planning consulting, and Project Research.
Her career started at the NAFDAC green pages where she served as a client service Executive and moved on to become the zonal coordinator, in Abuja. A position she held passionately until 2014 when she moved to the private sector to head her Training Consultancy Firm.
