The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, has distributed a total of 2,100 bags of food items to the internally displaced persons in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.

In a press statement signed by the Saudi Arabia Ambassador in Nigeria, Adnan, Mahmoud Bostaji, the friendly aid was coming at the instance of enhancing cooperation between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that, that was the second batch of the aid provided by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre.

“In order to alleviate the sufferings of the friendly Nigerian people, based on the directives from the custodian of the two holy mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud and his Crown Prince, we provide relief for the displaced persons in northern Nigeria, earmarking the amount of $10 million in terms of food aid to serve as relief for the displaced persons affected by the recurrence of terrorist attacks,” the statement said.
