Consular of Saudi Arabian Consulate, in Kano, Malam Yusuf Ibrahim, has said that the cordial relationship existing between his country and Nigeria would be maintained.
Ibrahim made the statement when he paid courtesy visit on the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Sunusi in his palace, in Dutse, on Tuesday.
He expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship existing between the two countries, saying it would be sustained.
Ibrahim said that the government of Saudi Arabia would collaborate with Nigeria to enhance economic, social, political ties for the benefit of the citizens of both countries.
In his remarks, the Emir said the visit of the consular was the first of its kind in the history of Dutse emirate.
He said that rich people in his domain give Zakat, assist the needy and also help in propagating Islam.
He solicited the support and cooperation of the Saudi Arabia in enhancing cultural, educational, economic ties with the emirate. (NAN)
