When the electorate give their mandate to the right candidate, to represent, advance and safeguard their interest within the context of our social political set-up, then the electorate ca always heave a sigh of relief, reel with confidence and exhume greater hope for the future.

 

This is the atmosphere in Akure South/North constituency within these last few years, the election and inauguration of their ever diligent and illustrious son , Hon. Omolafe Adedayo (Expensive) to represent their interest at the Green Chamber as yielded and delivered more Democratic gains and dividends.

The year 2020 for the people of these constituency unit was indeed a great one for them as they reaped greatly and bountifully numerous community based projects all thanks to the efforts of their elected Lawmaker

 

The Legislator has always have a long history of credibility & impressive performances, While giving a account of his stewardship to his people for the out gone year, he stated ” Globally, we witnessed a tough & rough year 2020, I will strive to present a better representation this year by the Grace of God. My commitment to leave good legacies as always still stands”.

It would be noted that amidst devastating challenges from Covid-19 Pandemic, Endsars Protest, nose-diving economy & endless lockdowns as well as the rising expectations from the populace, Hon Omolafe parades scorecards of laudable achievements in the outgone year 2020.

Among the numerous laudable projects and initiative birthed by him in the course of the outgone year, the Education Support Scheme which is providing financial assistance to indigent students. Under this scheme, more than 200 students enjoyed free UTME forms & many more had received grants to study. Also he saw to the Construction of Health Centers at Omoniyi Community & other areas. These health facilities are to be equipped with sophisticated  tools. This is to provide affordable and quality medical services  to the good & decent people of Akure Federal constituency.

Adding to these, he was also responsible for the Electrification of the popular Imafon, the Igbatoro community. This area has been neglected for several years before receiving the present support from the lawmaker.

Also, the Supply of Transformer to Adejubu Community in Akure North and the Construction of Civic center at Osi ( ongoing construction of Akure Civic center)

Furthermore, there were Inspection tours by officials of Rural Electrification Agency (REA) & Federal Ministry of Agriculture to some communities in the Constituency for Constituency projects implementation.

During the Covid-19 lockdown, Hon. Omolafe Adedayo saw to the Palliatives distribution during 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic. This 7-day long exercise reached out to 23 wards, orphanages, Markets, Lepers’ colony, Youths & Students bodies, religious & traditional institutions,  Radio stations etc.

In the 2nd half of the year 2020, he facilitated the Multi million Naira empowerment programmes to boost businesses of young entrepreneurs; Skills acquisition training for more than 400 constituents with take -off grants to kick start businesses; Various loans at advanced stage for disbursement to farmers & young industrialists.

Also he ensured the Construction of culverts at Odige community and the Ongoing construction of damaged bridges across wards.

In the House of Representative, it’s recorded that he moved a Motion for improved security in his Constituency and nation at large and he has been working assiduously to this effect.

The year 2020 for the people of Akure South/ Akure North by all indication is indeed a great one, however accolades must be given to the deserving, Hon. Omolafe Adedayo (Expensive) in no small measure delivered on his electoral Mandate to his people, this is not just a win for the electorate and our Democratic process, it is a testament of his readiness and commitment to stand by his word and fulfill on his promises. It’s the hope of the electorate that he consolidate on the achievements of the previous year to having an amazing 2021.
