The League of Secretaries to the 20 Local Government Area and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State (Scribes 57) has congratulated the governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Kadiri Hamzat and Lagosians for their massive support at the last governorship and state House of Assembly elections.

In a statement, its chairman, Olalekan Ganiyu Bakare thanked former Lagos State governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) National leader, Bola Tinubu for his purposeful leadership that paved the way for the resounding successes recorded in the just concluded polls in the country.

The statement reads in parts: “You have indeed proved your worth by returning 93 percent of all APC candidates presented for the elections, this is not without a great commitment of a focused and detribalized individual whose believe is one Lagos and one Nigeria at large.

“Also worthy of note is the Director General of Sanwo-Olu Campaign Organization, Tayo Ayinde, for his robust intellectualism that gave room for the overall success of the party in the state. We also thank Lagos APC State chairman Tunde Balogun for his giant contributions in steering the ship of the party in the right direction.”

“To the major stakeholders, the electorate who despite all odds capped the great success by overwhelmingly voting the APC. For those who believe in our vision and mission, who toiled day and night during the campaigns and rallies across the nooks and crannies of Lagos State, we say a big thank you and for those who don’t believe in our ability to earn the victory, maybe they felt our party have not performed enough, it is our promise that we shall step up actions in those areas, you felt we were not doing well.”
