The founder of the McCarthy Hospitality Group, Sean has created a multi-tiered company where each branch intertwines with the other.
These four branches are nightlife, social media management, technology, and marketing. It’s not very often that you find a bar and nightclub owner who happens to have a social media marketing division, but Sean has found great success with his blend of niches. He has always been involved in tech and hospitality, but being fortunate enough to travel while managing great talents, Sean saw a variety of business models that planted the idea for the McCarthy Hospitality Group.
Today, this powerhouse offers digital marketing services, technology consulting, talent management, and the namesake hospitality division. How does all of this create a unified solution? One example: Sean books one of his talents at a bar for an appearance or features that person in a hotel ad. This way, the revenue stays in house as there is no middleman.
Encouraged by friends and family that he was on to something, Sean took the leap and opened his first bar. Its grand opening was the crowning moment of his career as he watched people enjoying what his hard work had created. The response was well worth the obstacles Sean faced, and the venue generated seven figures in its first year.
Sadly, Sean’s flagship location had to close for good when the pandemic hit. Yet he treats setbacks as learning experiences. The property that closed had next-to-no outdoor seating, prompting Sean to plan for ample outdoor space at current and future venues. Combined with his capabilities to generate marketing, branding, and imagery without outside sources, Sean is poised to recoup his pre-pandemic numbers in no time at all.
