Senator Solomon Adeola has expressed sadness over the demise of Madam Omowunmi Akande, the wife of the former interim National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC ,Chief Bisi Akande.

In a condolence message to Chief Akande, Senator Adeola said that the State of Osun, Yorubaland and indeed Nigeria lost a matriarch and a woman of virtue that stood behind her husband at all times in the true tradition of ‘Omoluabi’ stressing that the late Madam Akande was a role model to the womenfolk.

The senator stated that the progressives in the South West lost a woman leader at a time her salutary and stabilising  influence is much needed in the society adding that it is his prayer that God grant the bereaved husband and the immediate family the fortitude to bear the personal irreparable loss.
