After successful mobilisation and consultations with Igbo constituents and other ethnic groups in Lagos West senatorial district, towards Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections, Senator Solomon Adeola,  yesterday, slammed insinuations that he denigrated Igbo at a stakeholders’ meeting at Ajegunle/Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area.

Senator Adeola was recently endorsed and installed with prestigious chieftaincy titles by Igbo in Lagos.

In a statement by his Media Adviser, Chief Kayode Odunaro, he insisted that no denigrating remark was ever made by the lawmaker during or after the meeting.

He said: There is absolutely no iota of truth in this vexatious concoction to the effect that senator Adeola ever stated that Igbo  will be “used and dumped” as being alleged and the whole stakeholders’ meeting, which lasted less than one hour, is on video and is available.

“Only yesterday, the senator fulfilled his pledge of a bus for Eze Ndigbo in Lagos State Eze Uchechukwu Nwanchukwu, following his endorsement for the senate and installation as “Dike di  Ora Nma 1” of Lagos state, one week ago.

“At the handover of the Toyota Hiace bus to the Eze Ndigbo, who was accompanied by other Eze Ndigbo from different parts of Lagos West, Eze Nwanchukwu reaffirmed Igbo endorsement of senator Adeola and mandated all Igbo in the state to vote for him and all APC candidates, as, according to him, Igbo in the state cannot be in opposition to the government and party in power…”
