The senator representing Anambra North senatorial district, Stella Adaeze Oduah has donated a brand new tricycle and N500, 000 cheque to a widow Mrs. Ruth Ngozi Ejimofor-Udeoba in Onitsha.

Mrs. Ruth Ngozi is a widow to late Mr. Ekene Udeoba a strong supporter of Senator Oduah and PDP member in Onitsha before he died.

The late Ekene Udeoba, a staunch supporter of the PDP and the senator, was a strong pillar in the Oduah’s political family.

It would be recalled that at the time of Ekene’s unfortunate death, Senator Oduah was one of the first callers to his Onitsha residence where she promised to do everything within her powers to ensure that the family he left behind, would never lack.

The Chairman of the Stella Oduah campaign council in Onitsha North, Mr. Emeka Osemeka while presenting the keys to the tricycle and the cheque to Mrs. Udeoba said the gift was in fulfilment of the senator Oduah’s promise to lift the family of the late strong supporter.

Osemeka who was flanked by Mr. Ejiofor Egwuatu and Ezennia Nonso Chukwudebe senators aides said that the senator has accepted to see the widow’s children through to school and set her up in business and promised to ensure that the immediate deceased family would always taken care of.

He told Mrs. Udeoba that the gifts were essentially for herself and the upkeep of her children, saying that the Senator Oduah political family would always maintain the existing lines of communication to ensure that it constantly keeps tags with their progress.

Mrs. Udeoba full of happiness and joy thanked Senator Oduah for putting smiles to her face after the sudden death of her husband, saying that the gift and money showed that the lawmaker appreciates hard work and commitment.

She prayed God to bless Senator Oduah and grant her success in forthcoming senatorial election to continue her good works in Anambra North.

The short ceremony attracted scores of women from Obeleagu area who trooped out to felicitate with the widow and commended the Senator for keeping to her promise always reaching out to the downtrodden.
