Even as Monument Distillers continues to expands its beverage portfolio in the Nigerian market, its CEO, Godwin Oche, is making bold strides of his own, including with his recent conferment with an Honorary Doctorate by the Swiss School of Business and Management.

Godwin Oche, a chemical engineer, and holder of a PGD in Business Administration and an MBA in Marketing from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology,  was honoured by the prestigious Swiss institution for his technological innovations and for his huge contributions to the development of the African manufacturing ecosystem.

 

Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultant, member of the Nigeria Institute of Marketing, member of the Nigerian Institute of Personnel Management, and Certified Management Consultant of the International Council of Management Consulting Institute, the proud recipient said of the honour, “Few things have made me more proud and more grateful for my journey than this humbling recognition of my contributions to business and manufacturing by the esteemed Swiss School of Business and Management.  I am truly honoured.  Most especially, I am grateful.

Godwin Oche was appointed Regional Director/General Manager of AB InBev’s Onitsha brewery upon the integration of SABMiller and AB InBev.  His stellar performance propelled AB InBev from fourth to second largest beer company in Nigeria, resulting in his promotion to National Sales Director of AB InBev’s Nigerian operations.  His business savvy and inimitable performance inevitably led to his appointment as Chief Executive of Monument Distillers Nigeria Limited.
