The Nigerian Navy yesterday announced the appointment of four new Flag Officers Commanding (FOCs), in a major shake to reorganise the service.

Under the new arrangement, Rear Admiral S. A. G. Abbah is now the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, while Rear Admiral V. O. Adedipe is the new Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command. Rear Admiral P.A. Onaji is now Flag Officer Commanding Logistics Command, while Rear Admiral O. F. Ofodile is Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command.

Also appointed are ​Rear Admiral A.B. Al-Hassan as Flag Officer Commanding Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral S.M.D. Usman, Director Project Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate, Rear Admiral H.A. Babalola, Chief of Policy and Plans, Naval Headquarters, while Rear Admiral J.O. Oluwole is Chief of Logistics, Naval Headquarters.

Others are Rear Admiral A. A. Osinowo, Commandant National Defence College, Rear Admiral F. D. Bobai, Chief of Training and Operations, Rear Admiral B. E. E. Ibe-Enwo, Chief of Naval Standards and Safety, Rear Admiral I.O. Mohammed, Deputy Commandant Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji. Rear Admiral T. Dick, Chief of Administration, Naval Headquarters, Admiral  M. A. Emuekpere, Chief Staff Officer Western Naval Command, while  Rear Admiral NP Aliyu  moves to DIA as Director of Logistics.

Also affected in the new posting contained in a statement by the Director of Naval Information, Captain Dahun, are Rear Admiral S. I. Enoch, Director of Search and Rescue at the Defence Headquarters, Rear Admiral M. M. Kadiri,  Navy Secretary, Commandant Naval War College, Rear Admiral O. H. Ngalabak, Director of Operations, Naval Headquarters, while Rear Admiral F. F. Ogu is Chief Staff Officer, Central Naval Command, and Rear Admiral A. Z. Gambo, Chief Staff Officer, Naval Training Command.
