Former Super Eagles handler, Samson Siasia has applied for the two vacant top jobs in South Africa.

Siasia, who has been out of a job since he guided Nigeria’s U-23 side to bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in Brazil, applied for the vacant Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates’ coaching jobs.

This much was confirmed by his agent Nico Mbonani.

While recent reports have linked former Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Queiroz with a possible return to the team, other reports have linked a number of local and international coaches to the jobs of the senior national team,  since SAFA announcement that Shakes Mashaba would no longer lead the side as head coach; though Mashaba is still contesting his dismissal from the job through his legal team.

The club is believed to be working on finding the right man to fill the position left by Muhsin Ertugral, who resigned from the club in November last year.

Siasia led Nigeria to silver medal in Beijing in 2008 and was the winning coach of the African U-23 Nations Cup in 2015.
