Tunde Omolehin, Sokoto

A former chairman of All Progressives Congress in Sokoto State, Alhaji Usman Suleiman Dan Madamin Isa, has assured that Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, of the PDP and the incumbent governor of Sokoto State, is sure of winning the poll.

Suleiman, who is now a PDP chieftain and the state commissioner for Works, gave the assurance in Isa town while casting his vote at Muhammadu Dudawa polling unit.

He noted that unlike the presidential election held in the state where the party performed below expectation, the PDP had reviewed its strategy and set to clinch victory in all elective positions across the state.

“The turnout in these elections is very impressive as you can see. And we hope our governorship candidate in the person of Aminu, Waziri Tambuwal, is coasting home to victory. This will be unlike the presidential election in which our party performed very low.

“We reviewed our strategies and believe that we are winning all the elective positions across the state today by God’s grace,” Suleiman said.
