Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, is expected to attend the 2022 Symposium of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council.

Also expected at the event are the Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Prof Obiora Okonkwo; Nigeria’s first female Professor of Mass Communication, Prof. Chinyere Okunna; and a great journalism scholar now a Royal Father, Prof. Onuora Nwuneli, among others.

Chairman of the Symposium Organising Committee, David-Chyddy Eleke, in a statement on Monday, said that the symposium, an annual event of the chapel, would hold on Thursday, November 24 by 10am at the NUJ Press Centre, behind Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Awka.

Eleke said that the lead paper for the symposium themed: “The Role of the Media in Guaranteeing the Sanctity of the Electoral Process in Nigeria” would be presented by Okonkwo.

He said that every arrangement for a hitch-free event had been put in place, adding that another lecture on the sub-theme of the symposium, “The Imperative of Traditional Media in Marketing State Policies: Anambra State as a Case Study would be delivered by the state Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu.

Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Chief Chuks Ilozue, assured of an enriching outing that would add value to the state and the nation at large considering the nearness of the 2023 elections.

He revealed the symposium would be chaired by Okunna while Igwe Nwuneli would preside as the Royal Father of the Day.
