The Lubricants Producers’ Association of Nigeria (LUPAN) and the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) have pledged to deepen collaboration in the enforcement of lubricant standard.

LUPAN made the commitment when it paid a visit to the Director General of SON, Mallam Farouk Salim, at the SON Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.

In his welcome address, the DG acknowledged SON’s existing collaborative relationship with LUPAN and appreciated the association’s effort in the facilitation of a conducive business environment for the lubricant industry.

The Leader of the LUPAN delegation, Alhaji Mustapha Ado Muhammad,  thanked  Salim for his hospitality and for leading the fight against production of substandard lubricants in Nigeria.

Similarly, Chief Daniel Chukwudozie  also a member of LUPAN  applauded SON’s efforts to promote the ease of doing business, as it relates to the lubricant industry. 

The highlight of visit was the presentation of three Ford Pick-up utility vehicles by the LUPAN to the Director General of SON, stating that the donation aims at boosting SON’s operational efficiency.
