The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South-East, yesterday, held its zonal executive meeting in Enugu where it shared national and zonal offices to the five states in the geo-political zone.

The sharing of offices was in preparation of an upcoming zonal congress and national convention of the party slated for May 21.

The executive meeting was attended by governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State; Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State; Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Senator Theodore Orji, former ministers and members of the National Assembly.

Announcing the new offices, Zonal Secretary of the party, Mr Casmire Ugwu, said  Abia was given national organising secretary, national ex-officio and zonal youth leader, zonal legal adviser, one zonal ex-officio; Anambra, two national ex-officio and zonal woman leader, zonal treasurer, one zonal ex-officio; Ebonyi, national vice chairman, one national ex-officio and national vice chairman/zonal chairman, zonal auditor, one zonal ex-officio.

Others are Enugu, national youth leader, one national ex-officio (Woman) and zonal secretary, zonal financial secretary, one zonal ex-officio (Woman); and Imo, deputy national financial secretary, one national ex-officio (Woman) and zonal organising secretary, zonal publicity secretary and one zonal ex-officio.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Ekweremadu said the meeting was successful, as all party stalwarts were present,  and added that those who did not attend took permission to be absent.
