It was incorporated as a limited liability company and registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission as an indigenous lubricant manufacturing company operating in the downstream sector of the Nigerian oil industry. The company’s ultra-modern blending plant is located at KM 42, Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, Mowe in Ogun State, has an installed blending capacity of 77 million litres per annum. The quality of products from the factory surpasses the minimum quality requirement of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON). It also meets international standards including those of the American Petroleum Institute (API) and Society of American Engineers (SAE).

The company’s products are marketed under the brand name, Climax, which is now a first choice   in the automobile and industrial lubricants market. The Institute of Lubricant Research and Hydro Studies ranked Climax Brake Oil as best amongst its competitors. Climax products are well known and accepted in all parts of the country with a network of sales representatives across the states.

Climax products, formulated in the factory’s state-of-the-art laboratory are made from 100 percent virgin base oil, sourced from Europe and Asia. That makes the quality of Climax range of products to be above their peers in the market.

With its five-year development plan, Climax Lubricants Industries Limited will increase its installed capacity from the current 77 million litres to 130 million litres by 2025. Similarly, the plant’s capacity utilisation is targeted to increase from the current 11.55 million litres to 69.3 million litres.
