National coordinator, APGA Media Warriors, Chinedu Obigwe has warned those in the habit of dropping the name of Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu, Governor Obiano’s wife, while feathering their political nest for 2021 governorship election in Anambra to desist from it.
Obigwe while reacting to the statement credited to a political actor in the state, that Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme) has endorsed his governorship ambition, said that the fellow should not be taken serious because of his previous antecedents.
Describing such name dropping as dead on arrival, Obigwe the Chinyelugo and Akaekpuchionwa of Ogbaru, disclosed that the Governor’s wife has not endorsed anybody as the next governor knowing that INEC has not blown the whistle for the kickoff of election activities for Anambra guber.
He said Osodieme is more preoccupied presently with the task of touching lives of the less privileged positively in Anambra State which she is currently fulfilling through her tour of the local governments now ongoing in the state.
“She is fully aware that the right thing to be done is for INEC to roll out timetable for the 2021 governorship election and political parties will then follow the timetable to conduct primary election for emergence of candidates of their parties that will participate in the election.
The primary election will afford APGA party faithful the opportunity to pick a candidate of their choice that will fly the party flag for the election.
“When this is done, Osodieme as a committed mother of APGA will support whomever that emerges APGA candidate to win the main election.
She did not tell anybody to contest the 2021 governorship election. As a matter of fact, Osodieme is a committed APGA faithful that likes doing the right things at the right time.
When the time for politics comes, she will play her role but the last thing she will do is to jump the gun.
“I condemn the antics of using Osodieme name to pursue governorship ambition by these groups of people who are interested in contesting the 2021 governorship election. This particular person behind this is known for name dropping in pursuit of his political ambition but this well known stock in trade of his will not work for him in APGA.
“As he is claiming that Osodieme is the one behind his governorship ambition, he is also busy telling people that Osodieme is not in support of the clamour for Soludo to succeed Governor Obiano in office. He even went as far as conscripting presidency officials into his name dropping game plan by using them to back up his concocted lies in a desperate bid to give his lies credibility.
“I remember telling somebody that this man is a stranger to APGA party faithful and I also know that his name is strange to Osodieme.
There was never a time Osodieme told him or any other person to contest the 2021 governorship election.
“The only thing that is giving Osodieme sleepless nights as I said earlier is how to put food on the table of the less privileged ones and physically challenged persons in Anambra State. For this singular reason, she is touring the 21 local government areas of Anambra State to accomplish this desire of her heart.
Osodieme did not hate Soludo and she did not tell anybody that she is against the clamour for Soludo to succeed Governor Obiano. Anybody that decides to believe such childish lie will also believe a cooked up lie that he or she is not the biological child of his parents.
“Election is around the corner and it’s a time for all manners of fabrications hence the reason why ndi Anambra should be doing the needful of telling anybody that comes to deceive them with lies by dropping Osodieme or Governor Obiano name that they will not believe him until they hear from the horse’s mouth. By so doing, they will not be misled because the person will know that they are wiser” he said.
