The Federal Government of Nigeria has nominated the Minister for Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare, to receive a Distinguished Award for Sports Development at the forthcoming Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NESPS).

President Muhammadu Buhari will present the award on October 21, 2022 at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

According to a letter signed by Dr. Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri, Permanent Secretary, General Services Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the award will be bestowed on the Sports Minister and other deserving Nigerians in different categories.

This achievement is in furtherance to how satisfactorily Dare has piloted the affairs of Sports and Youth Development since his appointment in 2019.
