Super Falcons players Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade, Chiamaka Nnadozie and Uchenna Kanu have been nominated for the CAF Women’s Player of the Year awards.

The four players were named as part of a 30-player list of nominees including 6 South Africans, 3 Moroccans, 3 Ghanaians, 4 Cameroonians, 2 Zambians, 2 Zimbabweans, 2 Tunisians, 2 Botswana, 1 Burundian, and 1 Togolese player.

Also nominated for the award is Super Falcons youngster Monday Gift, as well as Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt.

Monday was nominated for the Young Player of the Year (Women) award alongside nine other players from across the continent.

In addition to the Young Player of the Year award,Gift Monday was also nominated for CAF Inter club Player of the Year alongside Rivers Angels star, Maryann Ezenagu.

Monday is currently with the Super Falcons where they are hoping to bounce back from the opening defeat to South Africa when they play their second game.Sebastine, who plays for Edo Queens is also one of the nominees.

For the Women’s Club of the Year award, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, Ghana’s S.Hasaacas, AS FAR of Morocco, Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea, Egypt’s Wadi Degla, Rivers Angels and AS Mande of Mali were all nominated for the award.

The CAF Awards will be held on the 21st of July.
