Permanent Secretary in the Bureau of General Services in the Office of the Governor of Osun State, Mrs. Olufunke  Kolawole, has been killed by suspected kidnappers.

Saturday Sun gathered that Kolawole, who was earlier kidnapped at Okene-Abuja road on Thursday, was later found dead along the road with several machete cuts on her body.

She was said to in company of a person, whose identity could not be confirmed in her official car. She was chauffeured by her driver and was travelling for an official assignment in Abuja when she was attacked.

The reporter gathered that the kidnappers abandoned the driver and the other passenger after the kidnap.

The Director of Bureau of Communication and Strategy in the Office of the Governor, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, confirmed the murder of the government official, describing it as a rude shock.

In another development, a member of the House of Representatives, Abdullahi Wammako, has died.

Wamakko, who represented Kware/Wammako Federal Constituency of Sokoto State, died at the National hospital, Abuja after a brief illness.
