The Taraba State Government has concluded  arrangements with the German Government and Central Agency for Vocational Education and Training in the Skill Craft (ZWH), in Dusseldorf, for the exploration of solid minerals in the state.

The joint venture would aslso inhaled  training trainers programme for some Taraba citizens in the vocational education to provide them the requisite training to empower them.

Governor Darius Ishaku disclosed this in a press statement issued in Jalingo and signed by the deputy Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Iliya Begyu.

He said this was one of the fallouts of the four-day trip by the state Governor Ishaku to the Mining Investment Conference in Germany,  where the governor marketed Taraba State as the new mining investment destination in Nigeria to  top German potential mining investors.

The event which housed financiers, CEOs and top German mining experts, served as a platform for participants to showcase investment opportunities in their countries and states to the rest of the world and German investors, specifically.

The governor urged investors to partner with Taraba State’s mining  master plan project to bring about development in the mining sector and explore the enormous natural resources that have been laying fallow for centuries in the state.

The German Central Agency for Vocational Education and Training in the Skill Craft (ZWH) Dusseldorf is a world class  service provider for all skilled Craft educations and also supports  Chambers of skills craft association in Germany.

According to the statement, the governor also received several expression of interest to invest in Taraba state, from several agencies such as FISCHNER GMBH to sign an MOU in order to map out Geological survey, secure mineral sites and render other engineering services to the state.

The trip is expected to attract investment to the state to the tune of over a hundred million Dollars in the next few years.

Daily Sun reports that Taraba state has a wide range of mineral resources that are largely untaped and or mined illegally using crude and risky methods by the locals and other mining scavengers.
