Beautiful and brainy Olabimpe Olamide Fasuyi comes across as a restless spirit. She likes to set a target for herself and once she sets her mind on a project, she pursues it with gusto and resilience without looking back. Some years ago, this tech savvy lady conceptualized the idea for the first contactless fuel cards in Nigeria; many of those she approached could not connect with the idea. In fact, some even sneered at her, believing the idea was simply impracticable. But she never let disappointment deter her as she knew in her heart that technology is the future of the global business practices and determined to launch her name into the world of digital technologies. And her tenacity paid off. Olabimpe is gradually achieving her dreams and desire to write Nigeria’s name on the world map through her innovativeness. Her firm, Conveola, has finally developed contactless card solutions that reduce transaction costs, speed up processing payments and provide a suite of additional benefits to assist business operations in any way you can ever think of. The card, it was gathered, is reportedly achieving a lot of great acceptability, as some filling stations have accepted it as a form of payment for fuel. Olabimpe’s innovation now renders fuel management solutions to commercial vehicle operators, managing litres of diesel per year for some of Africa’s largest fleets.
