By Dr Paul Torty

Our organisation, the Saint Medical Foundation and the Saint herbals have been in the forefront of campaigning about prostate enlargement, prostate cancer as well as urinary challenges, a condition experts say out of every 6 men two willl have prostate problems in their life time. Cancer  Research of the UK says that 46,690 cases of prostate cancer was reported in 2014, deaths  recorded was 11,287. According to research In Nigeria, prostate cancer is the most common cancer among Nigerian men and  the second most common cause of death from cancer in men worldwide. Again research done in Nigeria shows that awareness about prostate cancer is quite low.

A lot of research have been done to develop drugs for prostate enlargement, urinary problems and cancer, but being a specialist in herbal medication, as well as research, Dr David Hofman’s  medicnal articles on the uses of certain documented herbs for prostate cases, urinary problems as well as elevated PSA (prostate specific antigen) have proven to be effective, as the herbs perform alterative, and antineoplastic actions and therefore can help improve body vitality, cleanse the blood, retard growth and fight cancer. Dr David Hofman was the president of American Guild of Herbalist, and former Ecology lecturer at University of Wales.

As a matter of fact, we have developed a formula registered by NAFDAC called PROSTALYN herbal which regulates PSA, (ie prostate specific antigen) thereby prevents prostate cancer. Prostalyn  is also helpful even when a biopsy which proves the presence of prostate cancer or otherwise. Prostalyn also relieves difficult and excess urination as well as urinary retention, urinary incontinence etc.  Henceforth, I will be regular  in Abuja and Lagos to continue to carry out further enlightenment on this subject . Also note that we have agents across the country from where you can access prostalyn herbal and other herbal medications for diverse health issues. If you are in Abuja…you can reach me (Dr Paul Torty on 08038824033). Our office address in Abuja is 7 Kikuyi close, suite 3, (Kaku Plaza) off Nairobi street, Wuse 2 Abuja Lagos. Today and by the grace of God, we have a number of people who have benefited fro   the herbs for prostate enlargement with results.

What is prostate enlargement? The prostate gland is the male organ which helps in the production of siemens, the milky coloured fluid that nourishes and transport sperm during ejaculation.  It stays beneath the bladder and  surrounds the urethra – the tube that drains urine from  the bladder. When it becomes enlarged, the prostate can put  pressure on the urethra and cause difficult urination.

Most men have a period of prostate growth in their late 40s and above.  At this time cells in the central portion reproduce more rapidly resulting in prostate gland enlargement.  As the tissues in the area enlarge, they now compress the urethra and partly block urine flow.

Benign prostatic  hyperplasia (BPH} is the medical name for prostate gland enlargement.   What are the symptoms of prostate enlargement?

Weak urine, Stopping and starting while urinating, Dripping at the end of urination, Straining  while urinating, Frequent need to urinate, Increased frequency of urination at night, Urgent need to urinate, Not being able to empty the bladder, Blood in the urine, Urinary tract infection.

What are the causes of prostate enlargement?

At birth the prostate is about the size of a pea and during childhood it grows slightly, and at about age twenty five the prostate is fully developed to the size of a walnut. The causes of prostate enlargement are not easily determined by doctors, but it is believed that it is associated with aging, changes in the ratio of male hormone – testosterone level stimulate prostate to grow.   What are prostate enlargement diagnoses?   Digital rectal examination, Cystocopy, Transcretal ultra sound, Prostate specific antigen Urinary flow test etc.

TREATMENT:  We have antineoplastic herbs, diuretic and antispasmodic herbs documented by Dr Hoffman, which are  very effective in our treatment of prostate enlargement, tumour, and prostate cancer.  The herbs retard growth of enlarged prostate, while dissolving the growth found in the prostate gland.  Due to anti-cancer or antineoplastic activity of the herbs, these herbs can inhibit the spreading of the cancer cells in other vital tissues and organs of the body. The herbs enhance better night sleep, relieve pains, reduce frequency and difficult urination and helps healthy urinary function.  No straining and pushing of urine.
