It is no longer news that Enugu state, adjudged ‘most peaceful’ in the entire federation is gradually becoming a flashpoint of bloodbaths by criminal elements whose only stock in trade is to taint the Sterling records of our father and executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The idea behind this current gale of insecurity and killings of security personnel in the state is decipherable to many of us – one is, His Excellency, being one of the most potent materials suitable for whatever political venture he chooses come 2023, is blessed with dazzling profile of excellence, unwavering track record of integrity and a striking aura of general acceptance, capable of dwarfing every possible contender whenever the real game kicks off.
It is an obvious fact that the central nature of Enugu state in the Southeastern Nigeria, its serene atmosphere, the orderliness in the political hemisphere and her new status as one of the fastest growing states, especially in the area of massive infrastructure, exemplified by the Governor’s mass housing programs, his rural development drive and general human empowerment can only be viewed as threats by these evil doers.
But Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi cannot be brought down by any human machination, currently hiding under the guise of killings of security personnel and destruction of their formations. Such blackmail is already dead on arrival. His Excellency has long surpassed such level of pettiness and condescension. And as such, they cannot bring him on his knees. Not any longer. Never.
Without mincing words, the Governor remains the most decorated serving Governors in the entire Nation, which was given to him in recognition of his tireless efforts in ensuring peace and security of our people. And at the same time, he is most labour friendly Governor, most detribalised and greatest awardee of leadership medal in the committee of present serving Governors across the federation.
Governor Ugwuanyi is humane, selfless, passionate and committed in his avowal of delivering dividends of democracy to the great people of Enugu state; who have continued savoring the joy and excitement that comes with having an urbane, creative, innovative and passionate leader like His Excellency.
He has rightly thrusted the state in the hands of God almighty and so shall the supreme being above bring the current merchants of evil in the state to their Waterloo and extreme ridicule. So I pray.
