INTRODUCTION
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness [a]was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. [b]So the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 1: 1-3.
Generally in the physical world, light dispels darkness and allows people to see things clearly as they are. Light when ignited produces energy and can also consume impurities.
However, in the above passage, God was saying let there be light, but this light is not a luminary light like the sun, moon, etc. This light is a special one. The Light of life, the light that comes out of Life, because verse two explains how the Earth that God created was without form and was void, empty, without anything and darkness was upon the face of the deep, showing that the whole thing God created initially, was as it were dead, it gives the picture of a non-living thing.
Light is the revelation of God’s love in Jesus Christ and the penetration of that love into lives that have been darkened by the world of sin, Satan and self-indulgence.
And God said. let there be light; God spoke it, it was the word of God that brought light and from that moment on, everything started to get some kind of form or shape. Light came because, of the life that God spoke into existence.
Who was this Word?
John 1:1-2, John 1:4-5, John 1:9-10
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:1-3 NKJV
Here we see the light coming into the world to give life. In other words, without this light there can be no life and Jesus in John 8: 12 says ‘’I am the light of the world, if anyone comes to this world and does not have this light is a dead person’;is in darkness, is somebody who is void, empty with nothing in his life.
The individual who has no light of God is empty. Jesus Christ is that light that God spoke about, it’s not the sun or the moon. It is the light that is life, it is called the true light, the light that lightens everyone that comes into this world. So, my message to every hearer today is to accept the offer of light of God. Have you received this light?
Has this light come into your life?
If this light does not come into your life, you do not have life, you are just living now and it is a short one and afterwards you are gone into eternity; and you will be spiritually irredeemable. However, if you have this light, you will get eternal life. The Bible makes it clear to us that the gift of God is eternal life only through Jesus Christ our Lord, everything created was without any form, any light, it was dark, but when God spoke this life into it, it got light to go on.
If you want light in your life, you want to know the way to live, the path to heaven, I am introducing to you, the light that lightens everyone that comes into this world, the light that lightens every creation of God and to do it today, is to accept him as your Lord and Saviour. He gave himself for us and he died on the cross, yes! It was the gift of God to mankind, yes! it is only by that, that you can know your way back to your creator and you can see him.
Therefore, I pray for everyone that is reading this piece today, may you open your heart to receive the light of God that you may have life.
Father, I pray right now for everyone that is accepting this light, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray that such people will be made sons and daughters of the living God, in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Beloved, have you entered into personal relationship with Jesus Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour? If you have not, you need to do so without delay. Inviting and accepting Jesus Christ into your life is the beginning of a glorious and eternally rewarding relationship with God, your Creator. It is a decision you can never regret as you walk with Him faithfully and consistently for the rest of your life. Surrender your life to Jesus Christ today by acknowledging that you are a sinner. God sent Jesus Christ to die for you and as you confess your sins to Him, He will forgive you so that you will not have to be punished for the same. Ask Jesus Christ to cleanse your heart with His precious blood, deliver you from sin and Satan and empower you by the Holy Spirit to henceforth live above sin and live totally for God.
