Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Bola Tinubu, yesterday, visited the leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

During the visit, Tinubu presented his manifesto to the Afenifere leader who prayed for him and wished him well.

He was received at the Akure Airport by the deputy governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa, state chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin and other leaders of the party in and outside the state.

Former governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande; former minister of defence, Musiliu Obanikoro and other party leaders accompanied him to the residence of Fasoranti at ljapo by Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji.

National Organising Secretary of Afenifere, Abagun Kole Omololu, said at the meeting that Afenifere leaders were fully briefed about Tinubu’s presidential aspiration.

He said: “Having taken cognisance of his antecedents as Lagos State Governor and his demonstrated ability in building physical and human capital, the Yoruba leaders at today’s meeting are in no doubt that Tinubu as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria offers the best opportunity to produce a government that will usher in a new era of hope, peace, security, harmony, gainful employment for the multitude, economic development, social and political stability of Nigeria.

“We were also assured of his commitment to the promotion of true federalism that will give states more control over their affairs. Afenifere wishes him success in the pursuit of his vision. The meeting urged other presidential candidates to utilise similar opportunities to articulate their vision.”
