Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, declared recently that former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is a replica of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who led the Yoruba nation till his death in May 1987.

The monarch made the declaration in his palace when he received the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, who paid him a courtesy visit; in continuation of his consultation ahead of Saturday’s election. He described Tinubu as the current symbol of Yoruba unity.

Oba Akanbi urged Yoruba sons and daughters to support Tinubu’s political exploitss; to further move the nation forward, and added that his (Tinubu) political status is unprecedented in Yoruba’s 21st Century history.

He said: “Tinubu has made many things out of nothing. He built humans across board. Human development is his primary asset. Vice President, ministers, vice president, ministers, governors, chairmen of agencies, doctors, lawyers, business magnates, monarchs are all products of Tinubu, to the glory of God today, you don’t become leaders by amassing wealth.”

He further enjoined all eligible voters to turn out, tomorrow, and exercise their franchise and avoid any form of violence. He said violence will not do the country any good.
