To good people of Kwande

I stand to be corrected that the name Adikpo London Kwande became popular in those days and was recognised nationwide because of the development witnessed within Kwande Local Government Area and most especially at the Local Government headquarters, Adikpo.

Before now, I sampled the opinions of many to test their knowledge about the meaning of the name: ‘Adikpo London Kwande’ and they said because Adikpo is a far place like London, but I know they were speaking from a layman’s point of view.

You can agree with me that development cannot be seen in a place where the occupants lack love, peace and unity. In the entire Tiv nation, people were not seen massacred by invaders as we witness now on daily basis because there was love, there was peace and unity among the people.

Adikpo was a town that people from other local government areas were wishing to have, but unfortunately we later allowed people from other places to cause division among us thereby accepting little from them to fight and kill our own to ensure the victory of these outsiders as leaders for different political offices.

The positions others were interested in and used us to achieve their aims, the same positions our own sons and daughters were equally interested in, but we took side with visitors against our people.

Having said all that, we should not forget we have Kwande’s sons and daughters contesting for different political offices, and leaving them to support others from different places contesting against them will be an obvious demonstration of hatred upon your own people.

I am calling on all that are Kwande to give the needed support to their own since they are equally good and equal to the task.

Don’t forget that the people of Kwande had severally supported many from other local government areas to win Benue North East Senatorial seat and other seats at the states and federal levels.

Now that we have Comrade Martin Iorsamber, a Kwande’s son, contesting for Benue North East Senatorial seat under the Social Democratic party (SDP) and other Kwande’s sons and daughters doing the same for other political offices, let’s give them our support and those from other local government areas we supported in previous elections, it is time for them to reciprocate.
