• Board reconstituted

Barely a week after he was deposed, COSON Chairman, Tony Okoroji has been reinstalled. Indeed, it was celebration galore at COSON House in Ikeja, Lagos, Tuesday, December 19, as members of COSON at the COSON General Assembly, restored Okoroji as Chairman. Okoroji, who was initially absent from the meeting arrived the COSON House Arena following the demand by members and a telephone conversation initiated by Sir Victor Uwaifo, who chaired the General Assembly.

The meeting resolved that the purported change of the chairmanship of the Management Board of COSON on December 7, under bizarre circumstances, be condemned and annulled by the COSON General Assembly.

Accepting the decision, Okoroji said that he was humbled by the love of the members of COSON and holds no animosity against anyone as a result of what had transpired. The meeting also resolved that the sum of N206m be distributed to members and affiliates of COSON.

Meanwhile, in a related development, the COSON Board has been reconstituted. The reconstituted board has foremost Intellectual Property expert, Chief Tony Okoroji as Chairman. Other members are Azeezat Allen, Hon. John Ewelukwa Udegbunam, Ras Kimono, Richard Cole, Sir Shina Peters, Kenny Saint Best, Sharon Escco Wilson, Maureen Ejezie and Francis Ola Akinfesi.
