Dubai based Nigerian digital innovations expert, new media, and tech guru Tonye Anyanwu popularly known as ‘The Crypto Genie’ has announced his appointment to the position of Special Advisor to the Presidency of Central African Republic on Crypto and digital Innovation in the Presidency at the Government of Central African Republic.

In a recent post via his Instagram page @tonyeanyanwu he posted a picture of himself with Minister Pascal Bida Koyagbele, the Minister of Strategic Investments and Major Works in the Central African Republic with the caption below announcing his position, “I’m happy to share my position as Special Advisor to the Presidency of Central African Republic on Crypto and Innovation at the Government of Central African Republic! It might have been a rather late share, but better late than never.”

In a telephone chat with our correspondent, Mr. Anyanwu confirmed the appointment and stated that the position mandates him to take full control of the digital economic vision of the Central African Republic.

Tonye went further to add that his responsibilities also involve the creation and management of all digital assets, blockchain infrastructure creation and management, unified records system for all public offices and entities, cyber security, digital finance, digital currency management etc.

“I am grateful for the trust reposed in me by the President of C.A.R and the minister, and I promise to bring my wealth of knowledge to bear in the execution of my duties. This appointment was made a while ago but due to certain details that needed finalizing, I couldn’t share the good news with my friends, fans and followers .” Tonye explained.
