Days after the suspension of commercial operation of train services along Abuja/ Kaduna Corridor, due to train derailment, the Board and Management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation and the Nigerian Nigeria corporation, NRC has announced resumption of activities.

Niyi Ali, Director of operations in the corporation in a press release Monday, stated that “management is pleased to announce the recommencement of the Abuja Kaduna Train Service which was suspended on Friday 27th January 2023 due to the derailment that occured at Kubwa Station on the same date”.

Niyi, said subsequently that the service will resume on Tuesday 31st January 2023 with the following daily schedule to properly inform train users.

According to the schedule, KA2 departs Rigasa at 0700 while Ak1 departs Idu at 10.00. Also in the schedules KA4 departs RIGASA at 13.00 hrs., while AK3 departs Idu at 16.00 hrs. to Kaduna.

However, he said that on Wednesday, that only KA2 Will depart Rigasa to Idu Abuja at 0700 am. And AK 4 will depart Idu Abuja to Rigasa Kaduna at 16.00.

The Corporation once again regrets any inconvenience its esteemed passengers may have experienced as a result of the temporary suspension of the service.
