The suspects were Mohammed Adamu Zika, a driver and  Bukar Adamu Haji, assistant station manager in one of the filling stations at Nafada, in the state.

Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Texas Chukwu, said the suspects were arrested by soldiers from 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support), after being warned to desist from selling petroleum product in large quantities to motorists in the state.

Gen. Chukwu said the suspects who were currently in military custody for further investigations and  helping investigators to arrests other members of their group, would be handed over to the police as soon as it concludes its investigation, even as he called on in the public to be vigilant and report suspicious movement to the security agencies.

The statement made available to Daily Sun reads, “Troops of 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support)  have arrested 2 suspected Boko Haram Terrorists fuel suppliers in Nafada, Gombe State.

“The 2 suspects are one Mohammed Adamu Zika, a driver and  Bukar Adamu Haji, assistant station manager in one of the fuel station in Gombe State while other accomplice is at large. Efforts to get him arrested is intensified by the troops.

“The two suspects are currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authority for prosecution.
