No fewer than three persons were yesterday feared dead and three others critically injured, when the motorcycle they were traveling on, was crushed by a trailer.
The accident, which occurred around 9a.m at Alagbon area, along Owode-Idiroko road, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, according to the spokesperson of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) , Babatunde Akinbiyi, claimed the lives of a female and two males. According to him, the rider of the motorcycle conveying five passengers, lost control while trying to avoid a broken down truck on the road and ran into another oncoming truck, which ran over them.
He added that the three injured persons were taken to a private hospital in Owode for medical attention, while corpses of the dead were deposited in the morgue of the same hospital.
