The Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General, Muhammed Fadah, yesterday, said the establishment of the scheme Trust Fund will foster easy access to start-up capital for corps members.
The DG, represented by the Edo State Coordinator, Mrs. Olubukola Abiodun said this during the swearing-in ceremony of Batch “C” Stream I corps members in Okada, Edo state .
Fadah said the establishment of the Trust Fund will also provide a leeway to improve on the infrastructural development of the scheme.
 “I appeal for the support off stakeholders in the call for the establishment of the NYSC Trust fund which has reach an advance stage.
” It will enhance the smooth operation of the scheme, especially  in the area of infrastructure and provision of start-up capital for corps members’
He also appealed to relevant stakeholders to support the scheme’s Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD), aimed at providing easier access to free and qualitative care, especially for the rural poor.
He further charged the corps members to capitalize on the self-employment offered through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to be self employed and employer of labour.
