Following the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCTs)  decision on Tuesday that the trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki proceed without an adjournment sought by the lawmaker, social media started trending the hashtag #SarakiVsCCT.  Saraki has also been implicated in the #PanamaPapers, a massive trove of investigative leaks by international journalists tracking tax dodges and secret shell companies used by public officials and celebrities from around the world.

I’m still giggling here. Owo ba #Saraki. And this is only #SarakivsCCT o! With #panamapapers now out, there’s more.

Ataga @ExplorerAtaga

When they’re done with Saraki, next will be Kwankwanso and Ameachi. Favourite this tweet. #SarakiVsCCT.

Many Nigerian don’t know that this Saraki saga is the real problem of Nigeria. It is slowing everything down. #sarakivscct.

“@samson_badmus: By God’s grace Saraki will triumph. CCT is setting a trap for Saraki. #SarakivsCCT”. Tell him to prove his innocence and stop this.

Linus @linusNoni

Number of senators following Saraki to the CCT tribunal keeps reducing. It will soon be him and Kanu Agabi alone there. #SarakivsCCT

When I see this trending, I know it won’t be a good one. #SarakivsCCT

Folá Raheem @folarus

If indeed @NGRSenate President Saraki is sure he has a good case and counsels, why is he trying to scuttle his matter with the CCT? #sarakivsCCT.

Omikunle [email protected]

By the time this show ends today, Nigeria will be on the verge to elect a new Senate president. #Justice #CHANGE #SarakivsCCT.

Eniola Opeyemi ‏@eniola_opeyemi

Kanu Agabi SAN earlier said to be absent due to flight delay, arrives CCT but wouldn’t have appeared if the appeal was a success. #SarakivsCCT.

Adekoya Sheunfunmi @doubu07

Best response a tribunal member gave Usoro in today’s proceedings: “We have gone beyond this level in this nation.” #SarakivsCCT”

omololu @damevie2

The #SarakivsCCT is like Part 1 of Terminator. Nice. But the Panama papers will be Terminator 2, JUDGEMENT DAY! So much better.

Ripples Nigeria @RipplesNG

CCT says it will commence with trial even if the defense intends to appeal the judgment. #SarakivsCCT.

Musa Ibn Abdul ‏@musaibnabdul

#SarakivsCCT Procrastinating the inevitable.

Babatunde Opeyemi Y ‏@yusmus4real

I know that if at the end of this proceedings Saraki is handled, many Nigerians will know what our problems have been #SarakivsCCT.
