Two feared dead, houses burnt as Ondo communities fight over land

Two persons were on Friday feared dead at Isinigbo in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State during a protest over land dispute.
Also some houses in the town were set ablaze by the youths protesting against the alleged encroachment into their land.
It was gathered that the attack was allegedly carried out by suspected gunmen hired by a neighbouring community.
A resident of Isinigbo who witnessed the attack, said the palace of the Asinigbo of Isinigbo and some houses were burnt down by the hoodlums.
It was gathered that the state government had deployed security agents to the area to maintain law and order.
The state police command also said that the case is being investigated and the culprits would face the wrath of the law.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state police command who said no arrest has been made as at press time, assured that the perpetrators of the dasterdly act will not go free.
