An All Progressives Congress, APC , governorship aspirant, Senator Andy Uba has condemned in strong terms the shooting and killing of worshippers at the St. Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.
In a statement issued by the Director of Media, Ndidi Kennedy Ukaga , Sen. Uba who visited the scene of the incident said that the people of Anambra were not known for violence.
He called on the commissioner of Police and the state governor to ensure that the perpetrators of the dastardly act were brought to book. Uba also donated an undisclosed amount of money to aid the treatment of the victims.
As a mark of respect for the victims, Senator Uba also announced the suspension of his campaign to secure the APC ticket for two days in honour of the victims. To this end, he has cancelled his meetings with certain delegates and party members deemed to be strategic to his ambition to govern the Anambra.
