A House of Representatives contestant for Bende Federal Constituency in the 2015 general elections, Chief Ejikeme Richard Udensi, has said that critical challenges that face communities require experienced, intelligent and visionary leaders to handle.
Udensi stated this when Amangwu Alayi kingmakers committee paid him a in Aba.
The committee had been charged with the responsibility of shopping for a replacement for their late traditional ruler of the community.
The committee, led by Mazi Anyaele Okoro, said they were in Udensi’s home, to benefit from his knowledge as a prominent son of the community.
The elder statesman, however, advised them to look for someone with wisdom, knowledge and understanding, particularly one that is widely acceptable by the people.
He advised further that in carrying out their duties, they should work in synergy with opinion leaders in the land, adding that since 2007 he has been handling the affairs of his community as the President General, his major push had been for the Community to move forward.
Udensi told the committee that he was not interested in the kingship stool, but would not be against anyone found worthy by the committee.
He also advised his people to pause and think of what they can do for Amaigwu community for it to develop and move forward.
He said that one very important attribute of man which money cannot buy is wisdom, and implored the committee to shop for someone with wisdom to lead the people aright.
